How to Play Expedition Dungeons

Expedition Dungeons arrive to Puzzle & Dragons!

It’s Simple to Play!

【1】Select an Area to Explore!

Players who reach Rank 50 can play by selecting [Expedition] from the [Dungeon] tab!

Select the area and difficulty level!

Clearing each level will unlock the next, starting from Lv1.

【2】Form an Expedition Team & Send Them Off!

Form a team that can counter enemy monsters and gimmicks that you’ll face on the Expedition and send them off!

★[Hints] Button

Along with information on bosses and gimmicks, players can check the number of gimmick types that can be voided or activated by Awoken Skills.

★[Team Info] Button

Players can confirm information on the Expedition Team, such as the number of Awoken Skills and details on their effects.

★In Expedition Dungeons, Awoken Skills will switch to exclusive effects during the Expedition.

Furthermore, Latent Awoken Skills and Assist settings will be voided.

★Damage dealt on enemy monsters increases based on the number of monsters in your team whose main attribute matches the enemy’s weakness.

★When the number of the Awoken Skill, Skill Boost, reaches 30 or more, monsters will be able to explore in their Post-Change form.

Furthermore, the number (critical hit increase effect) of Skill Boost from the Pre-Change form will be carried over after changing forms.

★Expedition Teams that clear a certain difficulty level or higher will have their + values after +Limit Breakthrough enhanced.

This applies to Lv5 and above for Volcano, Glacier, and Forest areas.

Even if a player performs +Limit Breakthrough on a monster that is currently exploring, the + values after +Limit Breakthrough will be enhanced upon clearing.

Please note that enhancing or evolving a monster that is exploring will not affect the Expedition results other than those mentioned above.

【3】Wait for the Expedition to End!

Once the Expedition Team sets off, all that’s left to do is wait for the Expedition time to pass!

While waiting, players can still challenge “Special Dungeons” and others with monsters that have been assembled in the Expedition Team!

The Expedition can be sped up using Magic Compasses and Magic Stones!

★Players will not obtain any rewards if the Expedition fails or if they quit, regardless of whether Magic Compasses or Magic Stones were used to shorten the Expedition.

★The Expedition Status screen will be updated upon data sync.

Get notified when the Expedition Ends!

Turn ON [Mini Game Notifications] from [My Page] > [Options] > [System] to receive a notification when the Expedition is completed.

*If notifications are not received even with the setting enabled, please check your device’s notification settings.

*Please note that due to OS specifications, notifications will not be sent while Puzzle & Dragons is running.

【4】Once the Expedition is Complete, Check the Results!

Once the Expedition time is up, check out the results!

If the Expedition is successful, players can get various rewards!

★A player’s Explorer Rank will increase by clearing areas and earning Explorer EXP.

Rewards can also be received from Achievement Rewards when certain conditions are met, such as reaching a certain Explorer Rank.

Reexplore with a Simple Tap!

By tapping on [Reexplore] in the Area selection screen, players can easily explore the same area/difficulty level as their last Expedition.

Glossary

■ Gimmick

The various traps and events encountered while exploring.

With a few exceptions, these can be countered with Awoken Skill effects.

■ Mini Icon

One Mini Icon can be selected as the avatar for the Expedition Team.

Mini Icons can be purchased with Magic Stones or obtained through events such as Seasonal Events.

■ Critical Hit (Critical Hit Rate, Critical Damage Multiplier)

This effect has a low chance of increasing damage dealt on enemies.

The probability of this effect occurring is based on the “Critical Hit Rate”, and the amount of damage increased is based on the “Critical Damage Multiplier”.

Please note that the Critical Hit Rate and Critical Damage Multiplier are not affected by a monster’s stats.

Others

■ The following monsters cannot be added to an Expedition Team:

• Assist monsters

• Evo Materials

• Awaken Materials

• Enhance Materials

• Redeemable Monsters

Notes

■ Please note that the following information will be lost if you perform “Data Recovery”, “Device Change”, or the like.

• Information while exploring Expedition Dungeons

• Unconfirmed Expedition result information (Unreceived clear reward information)

• Expedition log history

*Please note that the above information will be lost even if the Expedition has been sped up using Magic Stones.

■ Expedition Dungeons are not cleared when the “Exploration Completed” status is displayed. It will be deemed cleared once the Completion Reward screen is displayed.

Please note that if a player does not clear the Expedition Dungeon between the end of the Event Quest duration and 23:59 (UTC-8) the following day, the conditions for the Event Quest will not be fulfilled.
